Oakbrook Business School organized “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” for three days on 22nd & 24th January, 2016 at Arihant School of pharmacy & Bio-Research Institute. Number of students who were interested in making their career as an Entrepreneur in the Pharma Industry had participated in the camp. All the students showed their keen interest for learning the new emerging opportunities in this Industry.

Day One:

The camp started with great prayer lightening of lamp. The profound speakers of the event for first day were:

  • » Dr. Darshana Thakkar (Social Entrepreneur)

The introductory session was taken by Dr. Hiral Panchal – Professor of Arihant school of pharmacy. He welcomed all the dignitaries & participants and acknowledged Oakbrook Business School for organizing such a guiding program for pharmacy students and faculties.

Dr. Ragin Shah – Director of Arihant school of pharmacy shared one motivation story of Entrepreneurs and also shared our own experiences and challenges faced by him in journey of becoming an entrepreneur.

Dr. D.M.Patel – Pricipal of Arihant Pharma Collage – He welcomed all the Participants & Dignitaries with bouquet.

Mr. Chandramauli Pathak (Director, IIEDC, OBS) Mr. Chandramauli Pathak started the camp with a brief introduction of Oakbrook Business School. He subsequently made presentation on the topic “ENTREPRENEURIAL ECONOMY AND OPPORTUNITIES”. And explained the concept of entrepreneurship and motivated students to think differently and be innovative.

He emphatically stated that people today desire for quality and luxury and do not hesitate to pay more if served with quality products. This leads to an era where smart entrepreneurs can assure their target clients by providing quality and innovative products which makes the customer’s life easy as well as lavish.
Mr. Chandramauli Pathak elaborately discussed about Entrepreneurship Development Cycle, Entrepreneur Challenging and Entrepreneur: Process and Stages and gene in depth clarity over the topics.

Dr. Darshana Thakkar (Social entrepreneurs and Gynecologist)

The post lunch session was taken by Dr. Darshana Thakkar – A social entrepreneurs and Gynaecologist. She about social entrepreneurship and gender disparity. She discussed about pharma sector challenges and action. She also highlighted the work that she did for girl child health and other educational projects to empower women. She explained the social entrepreneurship concepts with the help of audio-video presentation which created interest amongst participants. The participants were motivated by her convincing speech. The first day ended with open house discussion where they solved their doubts for taking up their career as an entrepreneur.

Day 2

The speakers on the Second day of EAC Arihant School of Pharmacy College were:

Mr. Chandramauli Pathak

The post lunch session was conducted by Mr. Chandramauli Pathak, where to provide the practical knowledge of business.

For this, he had divided the students in to groups, provided them with the required materials. The students had taken it in a very positive way and make a new product with the given straws and other waste items. They also had presented their products with unique brand name and also came up with different marketing strategies. The best group has been awarded as per their marketing and presentation skills.

Mr. Jayant Athawale (Entrepreneurship Expert):

He asked the students basic questions and made the session engaging and interesting. He gave many examples of Entrepreneurship and made the students understand about the impact of marketing in today’s world. The discussion made session more interesting.

He ended his session by asking the students about their perceptions and doubts about entrepreneurship. He happily answered the curious students and enlightened them with his prolific knowledge and experience

Mr. Vipul Jogi

The next speaker was Mr. Vipul Jogi, he talked about Potential and challenges in pharma sector with few Examples. He gave examples a stock market development and which pharma company were top levels in India.

After that he discussed about opportunities in Pharma sector by considering Top 10 Pharma Company of India & World. 70% companies were Indian in world top 10 pharma company. He said that total 6,500 new medicines developed in India every year but only 50 medicines having passed and gets licence from Government out of 6,500 medicines.

Mr. Amit Trivedi

The next speaker was Mr. Amit Trivedi, he talked about the Confidence level. He gave motivating example of Pakeezah movie of Raaj kumar which was launched in 1972. After that cubical game had been played by group & ten participants to increase confidence level by identifying our skill and using that skill in routing life. He concluded his session with the best wishes and vote of thanks.

Day 3

Mr. Padmin Buch

Mr. Padmin Buch started his session with how to do Business Planning, IPR and technical aspects of pharma sector. He said that an entrepreneur is bold and faces the challenges with confidence and composure. He then listed the fundamental requirements of being an entrepreneur and laid down factors one should assess before executing a business plan. He concluded by saying that entrepreneurs should be risk takers but also smart risk takers.

Mr. Hiranya Vyas

Mr. Hiranya Vyas is a BSc. LB from Gujarat University. He has more than 30 years of
experience as an Entrepreneurship trainer. He had worked with Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI). Mr. Vyas has also worked with Cadilla labs in the past and hence he also has enough corporate experience. Currently he is a trainer at Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD).

Mr. Hiranya Vyas, he talked about Communication & Presentation Skill. He started his session with Basics of Communication like what is communication, Barriers of Communication, Effects of Communication, types of Communication etc. He explained whole communication process with Examples and also discussed how communication is important in Explaining Business Plan.
