Oakbrook Business School organized “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” From, 13th to 14th September 2016 At Indrashil institute of science & technology kadi. Number of students who were interested in making their career as an Entrepreneur in the Engineering and technical Industry had participated in the camp. All the students showed keen interest for learning the new emerging opportunities in this Industry and also about the schemes of the government in developing the Engineering and technical sector.

Day One

12th-eac-first

The introductory session was taken by Mr. Chirag Jivrajani – Professor of Indrashil institute of science & technology kadi College. He welcomed all the dignitaries & participants and acknowledged Oakbrook Business School.

Mr. Chandramauli Pathak (Mentor & Advisor of OBS)

Mr. Chandramauli Pathak (Mentor & Advisor of OBS) presented the overview of the initiatives taken by the
Institute to promote Entrepreneurship amongst students. He also emphasized on the importance of promoting entrepreneurship amongst engineering students.

He discussed on the topic “ENTREPRENEURIAL ECONOMY AND OPPORTUNITIES” and motivated students to think differently and be innovative.

He emphatically stated that people today desire for quality and luxury and do not hesitate to pay more if served with quality products. That lead to an era where smart entrepreneurs can assure their target clients by providing quality and innovative products which makes the customer’s life easy as well as lavish.

Mr. Chandramauli Pathak elaborately discussed about Entrepreneurship Development Cycle and challenges.

He concluded by saying that entrepreneurs should be risk takers but also smart risk takers. The participants were motivated by his convincing speech.

Col.Dr. Rakesh Sharma – Director general of Indrashil institute of science & technology kadi, has taken the post lunch session He acknowledged Oakbrook Business School for arranging this EAC. He shared example of successful
entrepreneur & his personal experience of being entrepreneur. He motivated students to grab this wonderful opportunities.

The next session was taken by Mr.Chandarmauli pathak. Each of the students were divided into groups and given newspapers and other waste items to make apparel or accessory.They were then asked to present and market their products. Each of the groups presented their products and two best groups were chosen as winners according to their marketing and presentation skills. At the end of the Session, the students were asked to give feedback
of the camp and they stated that they learnt new things each day and would be eager to attend such program in the future.

Mr.Rohit Patel

The Second session of “Creativity” was taken session take by Mr. Rohit Patel He discussed about effective communication and he shared few example of effective communication.

He explained verbal and non verbal communication He discussed creativity in advertisements video. He stated that
there can be no substitute for stringent hardwork “Success is 1% aspiration and 99% perspiration” He advised the students to think differently and gave examples of successful entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs, Thomas Edison, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg etc. The common factor in all these personalities was that they dared to think differently and worked relentlessly after their dreams.

Day Two

Mr. Vijay Desai

The Morning session was taken by Mr. Vijay Desai He discussed about “opportunities in technical field” and
“assessment of business opportunities” He showed his experiences and difficult times during his journey as an
entrepreneur.

He stressed on the “Innovation” factor of an idea and advised the students to open-up their minds and come
with innovative yet realistic ideas.

The participants were motivated by his convincing speech. The first day ended with open house discussion where he solved their doubts for taking up their career as an entrepreneur. He happily answered the curious students and enlightened them with his prolific knowledge and experience.

Mr. Jayant Athawale (Consultant & Faculty at EDII)

He asked the students basic questions and made the session engaging and interesting. He gave many examples of Entrepreneurship and made the students understand about the impact of marketing in today’s world. The discussion made session more interesting He ended his session by asking the students about their perceptions and doubts about
entrepreneurship. He happily answered the curious students and enlightened them with his prolific knowledge and experience.

Mr. PadminBuch – SME development expert

The next session was taken by Mr.PadminBuch. He had taken an interactive session where he gave a presentation on Business Planning, Bankable Business Plan & Feasibility Assessment. He then listed the fundamental
requirements of being an entrepreneur and laid down factors one should assess before executing a business plan.

idea, surveying the target audience and ways to cater to them. An entrepreneur then creates a well-manicured business plan with innovative marketing strategies. He concluded by saying that entrepreneurs should be risk takers but also smart risk takers.

Industrial visit

The third day of the EAC started with Industrial visit to Windsor Industries in Chattral, Ahmedabad. The students were very excited to visit the industry, they were taken to show all the units of the production department right from welding to paint workshop to the manufacturing. The students enjoyed their visit and also asked several questions to the coordinators about machines.
