Day 1 : October 19, 2014

The first day of the camp was an exciting day for the budding entrepreneurs. The participants came from different age groups yet in no time they conversed with each other and gelled well! The first day sessions were conducted by Dr. Chandramauli Pathak and Mr. Paresh Pandya.
The day started with a brief welcome by Dr. Nivedita Srivastava, Dean, Oakbrook Business School. She gave a brief introduction about Oakbrook Business School and introduced Dr. Chandramauli Pathak, who was the moderator for the first day. Dr. Pathak started his session by asking the students to form groups and interact with each her by asking their names, hobbies and their career goal. The students were then scattered into different groups and hence mingled well with Dr. Pathak’s innovative and interactive gimmicks.

The participants were asked to decorate their tables according to their wishes and make it all the more creative and enticing. The participants explored their creative instincts and got various props like chart papers, sketch pens, paper cups etc to decorate their table. The students were then given a set of straws and asked to create an object out of it.
The next session was taken by Mr. Paresh Pandya, he gave insight to the students about entrepreneurial attributes. He gave a presentation about sharpening your current skills and explore new skills. He asserted that Human beings have a unique brain which can do wonders and one must learn to utilize its strength and gain from it. The session ended with a hearty session from Mr. Pandya which left the students thoroughly enlightened and inspired.

Day 2 : October 20, 2014

The second day of the Diwali camp started with students cheering away at the playground, playing football, basketball and volleyball. Soon the first session commenced after Ms Dhriti Bhattacharjee introduced the moderators for the second day. Dr. Chandramauli Pathak and Ms Hetal Desai. The first session was taken by Ms. Hetal desai, who is a well known Yoga instructor. She taught students about the benefits of yoga and meditation. She conducted many interactive games, which helped the students to explore the powers of visualization, positive attitude and build up strength of mind.


The second session was taken by Mr. Rohit Patel, he gave a presentation about various methods of communication. He taught the importance of intonation, tone, voice modulation clarity etc during communication of a message. He also taught the students about attributes of aq good presentation and several ways to imbibe clarity in one’s expressions and words. The third session was taken by well known theatre personality Mr. Kabir Thakore. He engaged students in a number of interactive games which led them to express themselves more and be confident. He also made them play games out in the open which helped the participants to imbibe the attribute of team work. The day ended on a cheerful note and the participants were enticed by the all day merry-making and interactive

Day 3 : October 21, 2014

The third day of the Diwali camp started with a session by Mr. Kabir Thakore. He engaged the students in several interactive games which helped them learn about team work, induce alertness and be attentive. The participants got extremely energetic and competitive during the session as they all had immense fun while learning the basic self development attributes. The next session was taken by Dr. Chandramauli Pathak, he engaged the students into a knowledge inducing activity where they would come up with a business idea. The students were divided into groups and were asked to share ideas about a business plan. Dr. Pathak explained the students about entrepreneurial skills and how to apply them in real life. The students were left thoroughly enlightened by the course of a business plan.

The day was concluded by the certificate distribution ceremony and trophy distribution to the students by Ms. Shraddha Sheth and Dr. Chandramauli Pathak. The students and parents shared their views about the camp, they acknowledged what their kids had learnt over the course of three days. The parents and students appreciated Oakbrook Business School for conducting such camps.
