Day 1 (08/10/2014)

photo04The first day of the programme was exciting and full of vigour. The students had reached Oakbrook Business School early and were eager for the session to begin. The esteemed speakers for the first day were Dr. S. B. Sareen, Faculty & Head, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI) Shri Chandramauli Pathak, Entrepreneurship Expert, Shri Palak Sheth, Director, Oakbrook Business School, Dr. Nivedita Srivastava, Dean, Oakbrook Business School and Mrs. Veena Tripathi, Faculty, Oakbrook business school.

The topics covered on the first day were Entrepreneurship Awareness: Objectives and Coverage, career in Entrepreneurship: Potential and Process, Business Opportunity identification and Feasibility Assessment & Planning.   Mr. Pathak asked the students to list down their dreams and try to assess it. All the four sessions were interactive and kept the participants thoroughly engrossed.

Day 2 (09/10/2014)

100_0466The second day f the camp started with all the more vigour from the students as well as the guest speaker. The esteemed speakers for the day were Mr. R.N. Raval, Dy. Commissioner of Industries (MSME), GoG, Mr. Anay Mashruwala, Venus Engineering Works and Mr. Shalin Patel, Module Engineering Co.

Mr. Raval was the first speaker of the day and he gave a detailed presentation about the nitty-gritty of the MSME sector in Gujarat. He stated the contribution of Government in accelerating the entrepreneurial spirit in Gujarat, he also gave figures of various innovative products that have been successfully delivered by facilitating entrepreneurs.

The next speaker was Mr. Shalin Patel, he talked about his experience as a student of EDI. He shared his experience of his early years of struggle and he way in which he started his company. He asked the students to take failure as a stepping stone and not get disheartened by it.

The last speaker of the event was Mr. Anay Mashruwala, he advised the students to dream, he told them to take risks and stay unfazed. He said that in order to be an entrepreneur one needs to take risk if one wants to grow. He gave a presentation in which he explained the students about creativity and innovation.

At the end of the session the students asked several questions to the guest speakers, the speakers gave them honest and transparent opinions which helped the students to get a clearer picture of Entrepreneurship.

The students were taken to Navneet Publications for an industrial visit, where they were given a tour of the factory and the way it functioned. The students were very excited and curious, they asked several questions to the guide. The second day of the camp was hence concluded.

Day 3 (10/10/2014)

The third day of the seminar was also an exciting day to reckon with. The moderators for the third day were Dr. Chandramauli Pathak and Mr. Padmin Buch.

The first session was taken by Dr. Pathak, in which he divided the participants into groups and conducted an activity which helped them to explore their ideas and open up their thoughts. The activity was focussed on various aspects of Entrepreneurship such as marketing, finance and HR.

The next session was taken by Mr. Padmin Buch, He conducted an interactive session which led the students focus on teamwork, being passionate about what you do and dedication. He gave examples of various entrepreneurs such as Karsan Patel, Dhirubhai Ambani, Laljibhai Gala and many more.

The next session was certificate distribution ceremony of the participants. The students, faculty and the guest speakers shared their views about the programme. The students were thoroughly content and enlightened by the camp.
