Oakbrook Business School organized 6 th HR Conclave on the theme “Digitization and its impact on Recruitment and Retention” on 24th March, 2018. The Conclave was inaugurated by Lamp Lighting by the invited dignitaries’. The Conclave briefing was done where the aim was to provide a platform for HR leaders from the industry and academia to share their knowledge and experiences in this ever- evolving field and equip the students present in the Conclave to tackle the challenges regarding human resources.


Dr. Sourbhi Chaturvedi (Director-Oakbrook Business School) extended a warm welcome to everyone. It was a great honor & privilege to have such distinguished & eminent personalities from the industry & academics
with us. The dignitaries were welcomed with a small token of love & appreciation.


The first speaker for the Conclave was Mr. Abhimanyu Dhaigude (Vice President & Corporate HR Head of Sanghi Industry Ltd.). Sir talked about the change that has taken place in Recruitment and Retention due to technology and briefed us about the digitization in the corporate field. Also, insisted on learning new HR software’s used in the process of HR.


The second speaker for the day was Mr. SunilKumar (Assistant Vice President HR at RSPL Pvt Ltd) briefed about the Industrial Revolution and Survey’s conducted digitally regarding Recruitment and Retention in the Corporate World and discussed about the Digital Recruitments done with the help of Social media.


The third speaker was Prof. Harsmita Trivedi (Senior Associate Prof. at Nirma University). As rightly
said that ‘Experience has its own Value’, with vast experience in recruitment explained us the importance of Recruitment and Retention as every individual’s responsibility. Also, talked about HR to be the integrated approach and explained the difference between Student and Learner. She ended up saying that ‘Being Human is always better’.

The fourth speaker of the day was Ms. Kanan Shukla (HR Head- Apollo Hospitals International Ltd, Ahmedabad) who talked about the Employee Life Cycle and explained the importance of HR by saying that the HR manager is the first and the last person whom an employee meets in the organization through his journey. She explained that HR managers are the process owners and ‘Personal Intervention can be replaced by none’.


The fifth speaker was Ms. Devangi Joshi (HR Professional Associate-Toronto Canada). She discussed about the importance of Human Resource Management and focused on Healthy Performance Discussion.

Ms. Pragna Kaul (Assistant Professor-HRM, Oakbrook Business School) delivered a Vote of Thanks followed by the Group Photograph. The second half to the Conclave was the Management Game Session planned by the HR Harmony Group
of Oakbrook Business School where the students played different HR games such as ‘Game Changer’, ‘The Larger Picture’, ‘Mind Field’, etc. The students enjoyed and had great learning. The winners and the coordinators were felicitated by certificates and letter of appreciation respectively.
