Oakbrook Business School took new step towards development by starting Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IIEDC). The incubation centre was inaugurated by Sameer Somal, Chief Financial Officer, Blue Ocean Global Wealth New York, USA. Mr. R. J Shah, CEO SEZ Dahej, Mr. Salil Bhatt, Mr. Gawai, Mr. Hemang Desai, Mr. Sunil Bhaktani, Mr. Yogen Bhatt and other distinguish guest were present in inaugural function.


Ms. Shraddha Sheth, Academic Head of Oakbrook Business School welcomed Mr. Sameer Somal and Mr. Amitsingh Gohil, TiE Ahmedabad.

Mr. Chandramauli Pathak, faculty at Oakbrook Business School then gave a presentation introducing the incubation centre. Mr. Pathak discussed the topics of entrepreneur empowerment and entrepreneurial axis. The vision, mission, objectives of the incubation centre were also discussed in the presentation. Mr. Pathak also explained what actually the centre will offer and all the proposed activities with their expected output. Mr. Pathak gave a clear understanding of incubation centre.


Mr. Sameer Somal took the first lecture of the incubation centre on topic ‘Opportunities in Entrepreneurship’. Mr. Somal excited to deliver a lecture at Oakbrook Business School started with discussing goals of the lecture. Mr. Somal showed his perspective towards entrepreneurship, general mindset regarding entrepreneurship. Mr. Somal cleared that finance is not first requirement to start a business, this is just a misconception and should be removed.

Students got broad view on topics like concepts of entrepreneurship, perspective on decisive actions, leadership, importance of developing technical competitive advantage, financial planning, purpose of mentorship, realities of mentorship and effective characteristics of effective mentor and mentee. Students also understood of how to build intangible asset, emotional intelligence and four main skills of emotional intelligence. Mr. Somal explaining about how to expand the network emphasized more on doing so with authenticity.

Mr. Somal concluded his thought-provoking session by sharing his context on diversity, idea of developing global market and developing innovative culture.

Ms. Sheth gave a vote of thanks to all guests for being the part of the inaugural function followed by a lecture.
